vTime XR Arrives on Oculus Quest and Quest 2

From today, vTime XR is available on Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2, bringing immersive destinations and sociable experiences to more of the community!

We know that you have been waiting patiently for news that vTime XR is coming to Quest, and last week we asked you to wait just a little longer… but now the wait is over!

Oculus Quest and The Future of VR

As Oculus began to discontinue their older headsets, we saw that our community was making the shift towards the newer, more compact, and all-round better Oculus Quest.

In the past, we’ve brought vTime XR to other standalone platforms, but none pack a punch quite like the Quest and Quest 2! Striking a balance between the accessible Oculus Go and the powerful Oculus Rift, the Quest provides a standalone VR experience with extra processing capabilities that deliver fast performance speeds and great gameplay.

This all-in-one headset gives users six degrees of freedom (6DOF) for a fully immersive experience, Oculus touch controllers for true hand presence, and untethered inside-out tracking for powerful VR without the need for external processing support.

"We are delighted to add Quest to the line-up of platforms that the vTime XR experience is available for," says vTime Managing Director Clemens Wangerin. "Newcomers to the network will find a high-quality social experience unlike any other, with a focus on small group conversations in beautifully realised 3D worlds and a range of media sharing options. With a set of user-friendly options and permissions that puts everyone in control over who they interact with and how, vTime XR creates a unique, safe and intimate experience."

Getting Sociable on Quest

As Oculus expands the Quest catalogue to include more social VR, we’re bringing our own sociable experience to this game-changing platform. From today, Quest and Quest 2 users will be able to get cosy in The Study, watch the world go by in Orbital, and feel the dizzying heights in On the Edge.

As always, you can meet and chat with upto three friends in our incredible immersive destinations, snap virtual selfies, share 360-degree images, and get expressive with vMotes.

Why not try out one of our new video destinations? Watch sports content from our partner, City Football Group in The Sports Bar or soak in the atmosphere of an outdoor cinema in our Roman amphitheater!

Not a Quest User?

No Problem! You will still be able to use vTime XR on all of our other platforms, and we’ll continue to support them for as long as we can!
