vTime Raises $7.6 Million in Series A Funding Round

We’re thrilled to announce that vTime has closed a $7.6 million series A funding round. Led by Deepbridge Capital through the Enterprise Investment Scheme, the raise also includes investment from Liverpool-based institutional loan and equity provider, MSIF.

So what does this mean for the community? Get ready for a busy year! We’ll use the new investment to accelerate the development and growth of vTime, to expand our features and services, and to grow our talented team in the UK and the USA. We want to be the easiest and most immersive way to meet, chat, share, broadcast and consume in virtual reality (VR) and this funding round will help us get there faster! We’ll continue to partner with the likes of Jaunt and DTS, with more partnerships to be announced in the coming months.

The funding also gives us the opportunity to expand into other realities. vTime already offers one of the most immersive ways to connect with others in VR, with close to a million downloads across six platforms, and users in over 190 countries. But alongside the development of the vTime you all know and love, we’ve been developing an augmented reality (AR) experience that uses the expertise gleaned from our VR network but transforms it into another unique way to connect and engage with friends and family. Coming later this year, we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on in AR.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the community for your continued support, love, and feedback, without which we wouldn’t be here today. As we gear up for the next phase of the vTime journey, we hope that you’re as excited as we are for what comes next.

See you in vTime!
