Veteran Gartner Analyst Brian Blau Joins vTime to Lead First International Expansion

If you’re an avid reader of the technology press, you’ve probably come across Brian Blau before...

Formerly research vice president at Gartner, the world's leading research and advisory company, his roles as lead analyst for Apple and other AR/VR technologies saw him regularly quoted in the media, providing his opinion and insight on the latest tech happenings. One of the most quoted analysts for the past eight years, Brian is without doubt an authority on all things virtual and augmented.

So it is with great pleasure that we announce that Brian is now a member of the vTime executive team, and that he’ll be heading up our first international headquarters, based in San Francisco.

Joining in the role of senior vice president, Brian will be developing new partnerships and expansion opportunities, as well as managing and building out the US-based team.

“I’m beyond excited to join vTime and help lead the company into its next phase as we establish a presence on the US west coast," said Brian. "The talented team and technology behind vTime are well positioned for success, and with them I’m looking forward to bringing sociable immersive experiences to the market.”

A recognised industry leader and technologist, Brian has held several senior positions at companies such as Autodesk, Silicon Graphics and Double Fusion, as well as his most recent position at Gartner.

“Brian’s unique insights and background will give us an edge," explains vTime Managing Director Clemens Wangerin, "accelerating our transformation of the way people communicate and engage with each other through vTime’s consumer products and enabling technologies.”

Opening a permanent base in North America marks the next phase in a milestone year for the team, after securing funding of $7.6 million back in April. Used to accelerate growth and product development, the funding has also powered research and development for our forthcoming and standalone AR experience, coming early in 2019!

We’re extremely excited to begin vTime’s international chapter.
