About the Role

Summary

Working as part of an experienced team, your role as a junior programmer will see you maintaining and improving our existing family of immersive AR and VR experiences. You'll stay abreast of the latest coding and industry developments. You'll also be using your talents to contribute to the development of new products and features, collaborating with the whole development team to push the boundaries of what's possible.

  • Implementation of new features

Knowledge and Abilities

You will:

  • Be willing to learn, teach and be adaptable
  • Have good social skills
  • Be able to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environment
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Be solution-oriented
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced studio

Education, Qualifications, and Certificates

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Good passes in GCSE English and Mathematics
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field

Relevant experience

You will:

  • Have 1-3 years experience with the Unity engine
  • Have a good understanding of C#
  • Have experience working with version control systems (e.g. Subversion, Git)
  • Have some experience developing for mobile platforms (Android / iOS)

We’d be impressed if you had:

  • Experience with Java, Objective-C and/or Swift
  • Experience with C / C++
  • Experience with network concepts and asynchronous behaviour
  • Experience working with web services & APIs
  • AR & VR oriented UX / UI skills
  • Familiarity with automated build systems (e.g. Jenkins)
